The Medical Device Body of Knowledge was initiated by WMDO to canvas and assemble a broad spectrum of functional knowledge deemed critical for medical device professionals to ensure a consistent high level of performance in their day-to-day activities. Based on the Body of Knowledge, WMDO has developed a coherent set of curriculum and certifications that support managers in identifying the skills needed to carry out specific missions.
The Medical Device Body of Knowledge is intended to serve the medical device community as a recognized and trustworthy authority, providing a shared understanding of challenges and opportunities at all stages of the product development lifecycle worldwide.
