This course offers you the key facts and a general overview of the German healthcare system environment, the G-DRG system, introduction of new medical devices and Health Technology Assessment (HTA)
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, trainees will be able to correctly and successfully:
- Comprehend how the DRG system operates and its importance for medical device companies when developing a reimbursement strategy.
- Identify the various mechanisms that allow for new technologies to be funded and paid for, including NUBs and Supplementary Payments as well as other approaches that can and should be considered depending upon the type of technology in question.
