This course will provide you with a review of how a Funding & Reimbursement Plan is developed and identify the Decision Framework for introducing innovative devices into a Prospective Payment based system.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, trainees will be able to correctly and successfully:
- Consider how the reimbursement plan fits with all the other planning activities associated with the market introduction of a new device. These include the clinical plan, the regulatory plan and of course the sales & marketing plan.
- Identify the steps involved in the reimbursement planning process, Step 1 is “Understanding the Reimbursement Environment”, Step 2 “Setting Objectives for Product Positioning “, Step 3 “Identifying Decision Makers & Influencers”, Step 4 “Strategy Formulation” and Step 5 the “Actual Implementation”
